As a founding roaster-owner of Cooperative Coffees, Inc. we import and sell only Organic, Fair Trade, green coffees from small farmer cooperatives. This effort supports a more equitable and sustainable system of coffee trade that directly benefits these farmers, their families, their communities, and the environment.
Our coffee is grown under canopies of trees. That is why it's called bird-friendly. It is grown in sustainable harmony with the environment. |

Women at the Chiapas (Mexico) Growers cooperative comb through the coffee beans destined for the next shipment.
As their production and shipping volume increases, so does their need for common storage. With the help of Cooperative Coffees, the growers' cooperative in Chiapas plans to build a warehouse near their existing office which will improve coordination between members and the cooperative's shipping schedules. Their long ange plans include bringing processing equipment to the warehouse. |
